1. The title page of the project should contain:
a) Header table (similar to the one given above).
b) Project requirements.
c) Resulting schematic diagram of the amplifier and other figures.
The diagram should be drawn carefully, preferably using any affordable schematic editor, e.g. from PSPICE 9.2 Student Edition.
Hand drawing is acceptable, but have to be neat and clear and following electrical drawing standards.
All texts have to be written with any pen, or printed. No pencil writing will be admitted.
All components in the diagram should have proper symbolic names (like R1, RL, Rg, R23 ...) accompanied by their values obtained in the design process.
Remember: The quality of your presentation is a meaningful part of the project assessment.
2. Calculations
Calculations in the project should be done in a logical order with all intermediate steps properly numbered and named.
The assumptions (if any) accompanying the calculations should be clearly exposed and well justified.
Calculations must include formulas, substitutions and final results. No undocumented results will be accepted.
An example: You are calculating the equivalent ac resistance value RB
of the base polarizing resistance divider consisting of resistors RB1=270kOhm and RB2=33kOhm.
It can be reported in your text as follows:
RB = (RB1 * RB2)/(RB1 + RB2) = (270k * 33k)/(270k + 33k) = 29,4k |
(Note: For simplification your notation you may use letters as multipliers - as in PSPICE,
and the dot symbol ('.') for fractions (in Polish notation a comma is used).
Hand made calculations are obligatory, and they should be verified by simulation, using PSPICE package.
The PSPICE report must include (or reference) schematic diagram with node numbers,
input file, models data, operating point data, necessary tables and, preferably, graphs.
In the graphs there must be marked expected project results, as gain, bandwidth, etc.
The title line of the input file should contain designer's name. All PSPICE reports must be
submitted in printed form, no floppies will be accepted.
3. Comments
It is strongly recommended to comment your partial, and of course - final results, especially in case they are unsatisfied.
