Open the protocol name database file
#include <netdb.h> void setprotoent( int stayopen );
libsocket
The setprotoent() function opens and rewinds the protocol name database file. If the stayopen flag is nonzero, the protocol name database won't be closed after each call to getprotobyname() or getprotobynumber().
